RESONANZ - Die innere Reise der Kämpferin, is a profound dance exploration of the themes of self-discovery, cultural appropriation and identity through the dance styles of flamenco and Bharatanatyam.
LaDina Bucher is known in Switzerland for her experimental and modern interpretation of Flamenco, while Sarah Sangeetha is internationally recognised interpreter of Bharatanatyam.
Their biographies are similar: as Swiss natives, they have dedicated their lives to learning and professionally practising a dance culture from another country. The paths they have taken are similar in the courage, challenges and loneliness of the fighters, which awakened in them the desire to share their stories with each other and with the audience.
In RESONANZ - the inner journey of the fighter, the inner strength and difficulties of her path are reflected on stage. It is a dance piece that thematises identity, understanding and spirituality - about the courage to enter foreign cultures and the universal values that accompany us on our journey through life. The result is a cross-cultural project that combines traditional and modern elements from the Swiss homeland, Indian Bharatanatyam and Spanish Flamenco.
